Tytuł tego artykułu miał być pierwotnie zupełnie inny. Miał lekko stymulować myślenie i pobudzać inteligencję ludzką do rozwiązania jakiegoś rebusu z poziomu semi-pro. Przecież jednak kto jeszcze nie zdaje sobie sprawy z faktu, że na festiwale pokroju Open’era nie warto jeździć – niekoniecznie może wytrzymać taką intelektualną łamigłówkę.
Nie bez powodu obrażam ludzi, którzy pierwsze dni lipca spędzają na gdyńskim lotnisku. Jestem zbulwersowany faktem jak wielu ludzi w tym kraju nie myśli. Jeszcze bardziej dotyka mnie nasza cecha narodowa: chciwość. Oczywiście nie ma co pod tym względem ujmować tutaj innym narodom, jednak w naszym kraju, w którym wszystkim zawsze “ciężko, mało i źle”, szczególne znaczenie mają “promocje i okazje”. A nie ukrywajmy, że Open’er to okazja niebagatelna. Jak dobrze przecież jest móc się po wakacjach pochwalić piękną opalenizną uzyskaną w solarium u Pani Zdzisi i opowiadać koleżankom o doskonale spędzonym “plażowaniu”. Jeszcze lepiej, bo przez dłuższy czas, można dzielić się ze swoimi pseudo-znajomymi ukulturalnieniem osiągniętym w ekspresowym tempie na jakimś letnim festiwalu. Przecież Jola z nielubianego przez nas działu będzie klęła jak szewc gdy tylko dowie się, że w ostatnim roku byliśmy na 28 koncertach zagranicznych gwiazd. A ile się jej mężczyzna o czerstwej twarzy nasłucha, że nigdzie jej nie zabiera poza miejscami, w których tabuny ludzi wykrzykują hasła wyższości niemieckich kopaczy nad argentyńskimi – dajcie spokój! To nic, że zazdrośni nie będą wiedzieli, że wszystkie te koncerty odbyły się w ramach miernego festiwaliku. Ważna jest ilość, a nie jakość.
Ktoś uzna, że sugeruję, że gwiazdy na Open’erze to artyści drugoligowi. Nic podobnego. Problem leży zupełnie gdzie indziej. Przede wszystkim koncertowe sety zespołów na festiwalach są najczęściej obdarte z odpowiedniego klimatu wydarzenia. Wiadomo, że gdy idziemy bezpośrednio na koncert grupy X, na którym 30 tysięcy osób skanduje jego nazwę i wyczekuje na pojawienie się gwiazd na scenie wstrzymując mocz z podniecenia jest prawdziwym wydarzeniem w stosunku do występu festiwalowego, na którym połowa ludzi jest przypadkowa a 1/4 z całości będąc po sześciu koncertach tego dnia ledwo stoi: czy to ze względu na zmęczenie czy to bycie w “ekstremalnej kondycji” dzięki dwudziestemu rozcieńczonemu piwu za 10 PLN-ów. Sami wykonawcy też jakoś mniej przykładają się do swoich występów, czując że cała publika tak naprawdę nie należy do nich. Ich letnie wojaże to raczej sposób na szybki zarobek, z naciskiem na słowo “szybki”, bo przecież setlisty często są okrojone a występ sprowadza się do odbębnienia swojego i kontynuowanie objazdówki. Scenografia i efekty specjalne też jakby są uboższe, a jeśli grupa nie jest headlinerem, elementy te często w ogóle nie są obecne. Kwestię akustyki pozostawiam bez komentarza, bo i tak nikt się nią nie przejmuje. Przecież ważne żeby zespół zagrał a to jak będzie to wszystko brzmiało na szczerym polu to kwestia mało istotna, prawda?
Open’er to tylko namiastka prawdziwego koncertu. W zasadzie lekka mistyfikacja, trochę jak Jarek “Podróbka”. Tylko że z drugiej strony przecież my kochamy półprodukty. Zamiast filmu w kinie lubimy “kinówki” w DivXie, zamiast soku z owoców pijemy z rozkoszą napój z ekstraktu owocowego i zamiast przeżywać w Wenecji spacer po placu św. Marka wolimy zrobić mu zdjęcie… oczywiście komórką.
