Wakacje z roku na rok kuszą coraz większą liczbą festiwali. Nie można narzekać na brak gwiazd tego lata w kraju, gdzie jeszcze do niedawna do wyboru był tylko Sopot, Opole i Festiwal Pieśni Radzieckiej – od kilku lat można zobaczyć u nas bardzo ciekawe koncerty, niektóre wręcz za darmochę. Może komuś się przyda takie uporządkowanie letniego rozkładu jazdy…
Open’er: W prawdzie już po, a relację i recenzję można przeczytać poniżej, jednak nie mogę sobie odmówić. Z jednej strony całkiem ambitna muzyka, czasem wręcz niekomercyjna Z drugiej wykonawcy, którzy nic nie mają wspólnego z klimatem letnich festiwali ( Massive Attack czy rewelacyjny Archive wolałbym zobaczyć w teatrze). Nie neguję kapel, które tam grają, niektóre bardzo lubię, jednak razi mnie nieco kosmopolityzm w doborze artystów. Organizowanie “rockandrollowego” festiwalu z takimi artystami jak Moby i Chemical Brothers (przy całym szacunku dla nich) to taka festiwalowa masturbacja. Jak wiadomo ręką ch… nie oszukasz, tak samo wątpię, by muzyka elektroniczna mogła być substytutem muzyki rockowej na plenerowych festiwalach, które nieodłącznie kojarzą się z muzyką rockową właśnie. Poza Open’erem zostają na szczęście jeszcze inne imprezy w kraju i okolicy, na które warto się wybrać.
Seven Festival: Węgorzewo, właśnie się skończył. Bilety po 100. W zamian Sepultura, Coma, Hey i dla znawców gotycko-elektronicznego grania Lacrimosa , w sumie legenda. Sam festiwal bardzo przyjemny, w zeszłym roku Biohazard, w tym też nie najgorzej. Za rok warto wziąć pod uwagę ten fest, planując wakacje.
Reggaeland: Płock, 9-11 lipca. Mieszanka Jamajczyków takich jak Johnny Clarke z rodzimym baunsem w wykonaniu Jamala, Maleo, Mariki. Z gwiazd między innymi General Levy, karnet stówka, w zamian za trzy dni bujania nad Wisłą, bo rzecz dzieje się na plaży.
Obscene Extreme: 15-17 lipca. Piłka nożna, hokej, Krecik, a teraz jeszcze ich festiwale wprawiają mnie w osłupienie, bo jak w tak małym kraju można robić tak zajebiste rzeczy. Jak po grzybach na deszczu wyrastają pytania, czemu w Polsce się nie da? Impreza pokrywa się z Piasecznem, ale jeżeli kogoś stać, zapewne wybierze się do naszych sąsiadów: Misery Index, Hemorraghe i kilkadziesiąt innych kapel z najcięższej półki. Tylko graind, brutal i death. Dzieci radzę zostawić w domu. Impreza dla prawdziwych fanów gatunku, iście grindowe są też warunki na polu namiotowym stąd w Polsce fest znany jest jako “Obszczyn”. Bilety 40 ojro.
Open HardCore Fest: Piaseczno, 17 lipca. Wjazd nawet nie tyle co wpierdol, bo za darmo. W zamian świetna atmosfera , muza grana na żywo, stoiska z płytami i koszulkami z ogólnie pojętego podziemia. Wszystko w formie pikniku w miejskim parku. Chyba największe święto sceny HC w Polsce. Byłem tylko raz, mam nadzieję że nie ostatni.
Sunrise Festival: 23-25 lipca. No dobra żartowałem : )
Woodstock: 30 lipca -1 sierpnia. Sami wiecie gdzie. Dla tych, co wybierają się jednak posłuchać muzyki polecam Tymona z Możdżerem, Nigela Kennedy’ego , Life of Agony no i Papa Roach, Maleo i Lao Che, które pewnie zaskoczy ciekawym występem. Reszta jak wiadomo – jedzie pół kraju, by się wyluzować, wyłożyć na wszystko lachę i wciągnąć się w wir melanżu. Czasami jednak można łączyć te dwie szkoły spędzania czasu. Genialny klimat … Główna scena, folkowa, żarcie i muza od Hare Kryshna… hmmm to temat na osobne wypociny.
Open Mind Festival: 12-14 sierpnia, Warszawa. Cóż , trochę głupio srać we własne gniazdo, ale to trochę niewypał. Słusznie, że Stodoła chce zapełnić lukę po wielkim wale, jakim był Hunterfest w Szczytnie i tam zrobić festiwal. Z baraku zainteresowania impreza teleportowała się do Wawy. Letni festiwal w klubie? Trochę lipa, miejmy nadzieję, że tłumy napalonych na Epicę, Obituary czy The Cult fanów uratują imprezę. Ale może być ciężko. Karnet stówkę.
Brutal Assault: 12-14 sierpnia. Kolejny genialny fest u naszych sąsiadów. Dobrze zorganizowana impreza co roku gości najlepsze koncertowe kapele i jakoś da się to zrobić bez odwoływania ich występów , koncertów unplugged na polu namiotowym i ogólnie pojętego walenia w ch… W tym roku można zobaczyć Napalm Death, Cannibal Corpse, Dzieci z Jeziora Bodom, Cro Mags, Gojirę , Obituary, kończący granie Despised Icon i masę innych kapel. Niemal każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie. Wyazd około 50 euro.
Ostróda Reggae Festival: 12-15 sierpnia, karnet za maks 140 zł. Prawie cała reprezentacja krajowego reggae w tym Habakuk świętujący 20-lecie i sporo gwiazd. Nigdy nie byłem, ale znam kogoś kto był i mówił że jest zajebiście 
Hip Hop Kemp: 19-21 sierpnia. Wśród pokaźnej listy gwiazd takich jak Talib Kweli można dostrzec Ostrego i Pezeta. Kolejna czeska impreza plenerowa Vstupenky czy jak inaczej to Czesi zwą po 190 PLNów. Przy takiej liczbie wykonawców nie czułbym się okradany.
W tegoroczne lato odbywa się dużo więcej festiwali: Jarocin ( już nie ten sam, na który jeździli starsi koncertowym stażem), Festiwal imienia R. Riedla, cała masa imprez szantowych czy wielokulturowych jak Malta czy Globaltica. Nic tylko przejść na jakaś wypasioną SBecką emeryturę i jeździć na koncerty :)
